We celebrated the beginning of our centenary year yesterday (20th March 2019) at a Centenary Lunch at Lincoln’s Inn in London. This event included all sections of the NABMA family, as well as representatives from Westminster and partner organisations.
NABMA has supported the markets’ industry and its members for the past 100 years and there are numerous achievements to celebrate in this special year.
We would like to thank the people who have supported us through their skills, expertise and financial commitment. In particular, NABMA would like to express sincere thanks to Market Place Europe for being NABMA’s Lead Sponsor in this centenary year and for sponsoring the celebration lunch.
Toasts to NABMA were proposed by Lord Goddard of Stockport and Bob Neill MP the Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Markets Group.
There is another opportunity to take part in one of our celebration events soon. On 14th May, in conjunction with NMTF, we are holding a Parliamentary Reception that will also serve as the launch of NABMA’s Love Your Local Markets campaign 2019. There will be drinks and canapés to enjoy. All we ask is that you invite your local MP to join us and show their support for markets. If you would like the chance to visit Westminster and take part in this great event please let me know. We have around fifty places available.
