Work on a multi-million pound refurbishment of the historic Grainger Market’s roof has begun.
Newcastle City Council say the £3m refurbishment of the Grainger – set to last nine months – is “integral to the ambitious plans to transform the city centre into the North of England’s leading retail district and a significant European destination”.
