Bradford’s Darley Street Market has been shortlisted for a prestigious Revo Gold Award in the Best Long-Term Regeneration Initiative category.
The awards, organised by Revo — the UK’s leading forum for retail-led and mixed-use real estate — recognise outstanding achievements in development, investment, and placemaking across the retail and leisure sectors.
Opened in July 2025, Darley Street Market represents a major step forward in Bradford’s city centre regeneration. The modern, multi-level venue brings together shopping, dining, and community spaces under one roof, complemented by an outdoor courtyard that offers something for everyone, seven days a week.
Replacing the former Oastler and Kirkgate markets, the new facility is part of a wider transformation that will see the creation of Bradford City Village — delivering up to 1,000 new energy-efficient homes, retail, leisure, and business spaces, and high-quality public areas designed to make the city centre greener, safer, and better connected.
Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Regeneration, Planning and Transport, said:
“The Revos are the country’s top retail awards, so I’m delighted that Darley Street Market has made the shortlist for this prestigious regeneration accolade.
“The market, alongside Bradford Live and the wider city centre transformation, is a key part of our regeneration strategy. We’re responding to the changing retail landscape and building a city centre for the future — one that balances shopping, leisure, and community uses to attract people back into the heart of Bradford.”
The winners of the Revo Gold Awards will be announced later this year, celebrating excellence and innovation across the UK’s retail and placemaking sectors.
