What is It? – Markets; Places of People, Place and Pride

Markets are recognised as one of the key influences to support tourism, employment, the local economy and social cohesion. Entering a new year, we anticipate having an understanding from the government on their direction for the future of the High Street – but what will it mean for markets? Our various NABMA awards continue to highlight the good practice and innovation in our industry, as well as the achievements of Market Managers and Market Teams in going the extra mile to retain the local pride for local markets from local communities and their visitors.  However, a backdrop exists for many of uncertainty as local governance awaits to understand its own future, whilst at the same time the devolution agenda gains momentum. There is a lot to talk about, and the NABMA Birmingham Conference 2027 is the place to chat, learn and contribute as our markets remain as past, present and future celebrations of people, place and pride.

Why should I attend?

The conference will be of interest to anyone with a passion and commitment to the future of their markets. We appreciate that our industry will continue to face many challenges and for some the future may be unclear. However, we also recognise a groundswell of change, transformation and new ways of delivering market activities. NABMA continues to be at the forefront of lobbying government and making the case for our industry with a list of high street partners, agencies and organisations. At Birmingham we will showcase the change agenda and the people and places that are leading our industry.

Booking Arrangements

Our aim is to bring as many markets people together as possible to discuss the future of our industry. We always keep NABMA delegate fees as low as possible, and we believe that our fee of £195 plus VAT is excellent value.

Non NABMA members are always welcome to join with us with a charge of £275 plus vat per delegate.
