DESCRIPTION:NABMA and the Society of Local Council Clerks (SLCC) invite members to register their interest in an upcoming study visit to Shrewsbury on Tuesday 30 June from 10:30. This free event will take place across the town centre and its award-winning market\, with places allocated based on demand. \nHosted with support from Shrewsbury Town Council and Town Clerk Helen Ball\, the visit offers a valuable opportunity to explore how Shrewsbury has successfully repositioned its town centre. Delegates will gain insight into the multi-award-winning Market Hall\, widely recognised for its role in driving footfall\, supporting local enterprise\, and enhancing the town’s appeal as a destination. \nThe programme will include a strategic welcome\, a guided Market Hall tour with trader engagement\, a town centre walkabout to understand wider economic impact\, and a session on governance and devolution\, including Shrewsbury’s experience of service transfer.
