Love Your Local Market 2018 – £3/4 million worth of press coverage

Hundreds of markets across the UK took part in NABMA’s Love Your Local Market campaign sponsored by Gala Tent (17-31 May 2018). Markets from Scotland to Cornwall took part in social media conversations online, reaching out to new customers, showcasing produce and promoting the stories of long established and new traders.

Now in its 7th year, social media followers increased by 12.6%, attracting 35.1 million impressions and 5,174 engagements using the hash tags #LYLM2018 to give out positive messages, offers and new trader incentives. There were 2000 market days of activity across the fortnight. The advertising value equivalency of the local, regional and national news coverage was measured at around £¾ million.
