NABMA Guide to Market Halls and Social Distancing

NABMA Guide to Market Halls and Social Distancing

As many markets are considering how they will recommence trading at the appropriate time, then to assist that discussion NABMA has produced an initial set of guidelines. This document is attached and will be updated in the weeks ahead as government guidelines change.

NABMA acknowledges those markets that have continued to trade, and are thereby providing tremendous support to local communities by supplying food and other designated essential services. We are now very grateful to some of those markets for sharing their social distancing experiences with us.

The lobbying from NABMA to government is now to seek ensure that indoor markets have parity with indoor shopping centres in terms of start back. NABMA is also supporting the probability that an incremental opening of other markets can follow when the operator is satisfied that the requirements of social distancing can be met.
