NABMA’s New Students

NABMA’s New Students

A new cohort of NABMA (National Association of British Market Authorities) students have begun studies on their Diploma in Market Administration.

On 27th March, sixteen market managers from around the country convened in Derby to study the first of three specialist units, ‘Communications’. This will be followed in the coming months by ‘The Law’ and ‘Practical Operations’.

NABMA facilitate this specialist markets training programme, delivered by high quality lecturers, that enables candidates to obtain a professional qualification which equips them to perform their role as market managers more effectively. As the course has proven so popular, this year an extra cohort has been recruited, and will commence their studies in the Summer.

Candidates complete three assignments, one for each specialist unit, to demonstrate what they have learnt from the experience. The Institute of Place Management accredit the course, provide membership to all students, and assist in the setting of the assignments. Following completion of the Diploma, IPM also offers a one-day bridging event for students interested in continuing their studies to post-graduate level on the MSc Place Management and Leadership programme

The Diploma provides an excellent introduction to many aspects of markets administration and is recognised as the premier markets qualification for local authority and private market operators – and those from allied organisations.
