Over the last 48 hours we have held NABMA Zoom meetings to capture feedback and the top tips from the outdoor markets operators that have met the 1 June start back. Some of those markets have traded throughout lockdown and are increasing trader numbers, and others are in the start back position.
Although the weather has been very kind the view from a leading market manager was that perhaps this is now “the market moment in the sunshine.”
This as markets experience community goodwill and local ownership as they lead the recovery of the high street, and provide that outdoor retail reassurance perhaps not shared with supermarket shopping.
