Richard Beddard talks Training

Ask Richard Beddard how he became involved in markets and he will probably tell you he was pushed!

‘I was on the highway maintenance side in 2012 when our high street regeneration project began and that’s how I got brought in. There was lots of stuff to oversee with the works and at that time, I didn’t have a clue how the market could link in with the high street regeneration!

‘It was another two years before I did the Diploma course but before that I had rewritten all our market regulations. I understood the operational side of our market but what I got out of the Diploma course was the legislative side of how to set up a market, and the type of rules and regulations of other markets.
