NABMA has received the below on behalf of Market Curators, working with Bury Council. Please respond as appropriate.
“I am writing to inform you of upcoming opportunities to operate the new Bury Flexihall and Radcliffe Market.
Bury Flexihall will be a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose space within the famous Bury Market that can be used for a variety of events, including food festivals, markets, concerts, and more. It is located in the heart of Bury, a vibrant and growing town with a world-famous market, which will continue to be operated by the Council.
Radcliffe Market is a historic indoor market that has been in operation for over 200 years. It is located in the town of Radcliffe, which is just a short drive from Bury. The market is home to a variety of independent traders, selling everything from fresh produce to handmade crafts, with a successful bar and street food operation in place in the market. The market is adjacent to the soon-to-be-constructed Radcliffe Hub, a leisure, community and learning complex at the heart of the town.
We are working with Bury Council to seek expressions of interest from companies that are interested in operating the Bury Flexihall and/or Radcliffe Market. We are looking for companies with a proven track record of success in operating food halls, markets or event spaces.
We believe that the Bury Flexihall and Radcliffe Market have the potential to become two of the most popular destinations in the region. Bury Council are looking for a partner who can help them to achieve this vision, working closely alongside the market and other town centre stakeholders.
I have attached a brochure with more information about the opportunity. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
If you would like to express your interest in the opportunity, please fill out this short form: https://forms.gle/ssarY83nC4wpcWeb7 by 10th October 2023.
Following this expression of interest exercise, the Council will commence a full procurement process and will be in touch with you”.
