NABMA is keen to ensure professional management of every type of market and the Diploma in Markets Administration (DMA) is the best way of building and demonstrating the knowledge of markets management, market officers and allied colleagues.
Over 200 candidates now have the NABMA DMA qualification. This Level 4 professional Diploma programme is carried out with the support of – and endorsed by – the Institute of Place Management (Manchester Metropolitan University).
The 2021 DMA programme will be starting this month – by Zoom – with a full cohort of 20+ students and now NABMA is keen to promote the equivalent professional qualification for London market managers, street trading officers and market officers.
NABMA recognises the speciality of London street trading legislation and the London Diploma in Markets & Street Trading Administration takes into account that speciality, with particular learning factors, as one of the cores of this new programme, which starts on 13th April 2021.
Roger Butterfield, who is a specialist lecturer in street trading law, is already known to many London colleagues, as is Graham Wilson OBE who has lectured on market law for many years. For the London Diploma both law specialists will be amongst other professional lecturers in communications, safety factors in markets, technical and financial matters, trading standards and marketing.
Please see the below brochure and note the special offer of £1,000 plus vat for NABMA members (non-members £1,250 plus vat).
If your training budgets are tight, fees can be split between this (20/21) and the next financial year (21/22).
Steve Pickering, NABMA’s Professional Development Consultant, already has a number of bookings from London colleagues and as this new programme will be starting in eight weeks’ time you are encouraged to contact Steve at diploma@nabma.com or 07756 326 022 to book now as there are limited programme places available.
