The Gransdens Farmers Market

We launched our community market this year, and it has been an amazing success. We have tried to develop eco principles from the outset encouraging people to walk to the market to shop local and to buy a range of environmentally sound and artisan products. We were very clear from the outset that we wanted our community to be able to shop local and buy great products and enjoy a community buzz.

Causeway Speciality Market

With fifty stalls located around the Town Hall – a magnificent 150-year old sandstone building in the Diamond area of the town centre – the Causeway Speciality Market provides a wide range of high quality, locally produced arts, crafts and gourmet food products.

In operation since 2006, the Market has gone from strength to strength and has established itself as the largest regular outdoor market in Northern Ireland.

Shoppers can enjoy browsing arts and crafts including handmade jewellery, framed photography, scented candles and soaps, painted glassware and polished wood-turned products.  Gourmet food products include cheese, olives, artisan breads, speciality teas and coffees as well as hand-reared goat, pork, beef and buffalo!  And plenty too for that sweet treat – multiple flavours of cookies, muffins, fudges and tray-bakes.  All created by the stallholders themselves.  You cannot get more ‘shop local’ than that!

The Causeway Speciality Market is held on the second & fourth Saturday of every month from 9.00am to 4.00pm.  Contact for further information on e: csm@causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk

Good Market

It is our mission to reinvent retail by partnering with progressive, purpose-driven businesses whose values match our ambitions. We aim to deliver high impact events with low eco-impact, by working with local people, and working towards sustainable practices.

The Good Market was founded when COVID restriction were lifted to introduce small businesses to their customers and to activate spaces that had been closed for 2 years bring retail and hospitality together to support each other through a new unknown future.

Fast forward 2 years the Good Market now supports for 500 businesses regionally with regular venue and guest pop-up, most recently for Eurovision on may 12th & 13th bringing together 60 unique businesses over 2 days in Liverpool City Centre.

The Good Market is not any old makers market – each of stalls are hand selected to create the best shopping experience for the customer and offer brands fair trading opportunities but not over crowding categories but also select businesses based on purpose ie sustainable and ethically focussed businesses who give back to charities through their sales, plant trees for every sale, use recycled materials in their work and their packaging, reduce and reuse waste were possible, we also support minority and LGBTQ creatives fairly.

We monitor and provide support for traders with mental or physical health issues, as well as treating al traders inclusively. We also offer discounted rates to start up businesses who have never traded before, giving them the opportunity to test new products but also to learn from seasoned traders, as well a ‘buddy tables’ for sharing if the idea of trading solo is too daunting.

Our markets also include live DJs to really enhance the day for traders and customers alike and are both child and dog friendly.
