Naturally North Coast and Glens

Naturally North Coast and Glens Market is an award winning social enterprise that delivers a roaming market  providing you with the opportunity to experience a unique artisan market in and around the Causeway Coast and Glens region of Northern Ireland.

The market is a community market where the emphasis is on local support, good food and local produce, and handmade merchandise crafted with love by dedicated artisans who are passionate about what they do and love to talk about their unique wares.

Our markets are a fantastic showcase of our local food, culture, heritage and traditions, a perfect destination for anyone searching for an authentic experience. The markets can be found on a rotating schedule in various locations. Some markets may only have 15 stalls, while others may have up to 60 depending on the size of the venue and event.

The markets are mainly located in and around the Causeway Coast & Glens area, surrounded by lush, green fields, glens, valleys, coastlines, beaches and small picturesque friendly towns featuring many unique independent friendly stores, coffee shops and restaurants, alongside a wide range of accommodation options.

The rugged, unspoiled landscape presents opportunities for exploration and activities off the beaten track.  Fit in a visit to one of our markets on your journey to experience some iconic attractions, friendly towns or events along the Causeway Coastal Route. South Shields Market

South Shields has a long and proud tradition of market trading spanning more than 250 years. The town currently has two market days each week running from the Market Place around the Old Town Hall.

The traditional market runs on Saturdays from 9am to 3pm selling everything from collectable DVDs, handmade cakes, homemade bath bombs, luxury bows, band merchandise and much, much more.

On Fridays, the flea market opens from 9am to 3pm and is a treasure trove of unusual and quirky knick-knacks, bric-a-brac, books and second-hand bargains. There are also stalls selling brand new items at the Friday market.

Throughout the Love Your Local Market campaign, we’ll be shining a light on South Shields Market, sharing the history of the market, promoting our fantastic traders and their stalls, sharing details on how to become a market trader and keeping you up to date on events happening at the market.

Supporting all our town centres, villages, high streets and hospitality is one of South Tyneside Council’s community priorities. Shopping at your local market is a great way to support local businesses.
