Sudbury Market

Held every Thursday and Saturday on Market Hill in the centre of town, no visit to Sudbury is complete without soaking up the true character of the town with a mooch around Sudbury Market.

Sudbury’s first known mention as a Market Town was in the Doomsday Book of 1086, however a Royal Charter reveals there was a market in Sudbury as far back as 1009.  This vibrant, traditional, outdoor market is still a central part of Sudbury life today.

Sudbury Market is well known for our first class food offer complete with family run greengrocers, butcher, fishmonger, cheesemonger, refill and cooking ingredients, local independent bakers including sourdough, doughnut, brownie and cake specialists, homemade gins and more. We also have a range of hot food stalls including Indian cuisine, Burritos, gourmet burgers and coffee barista & roaster. All complemented with a diverse mix of gifts, plants, ladies and menswear, home and garden wares, bags and accessories, watches and repairs, eco-friendly health & beauty products, garden furniture, jewellery, antiques and collectables and more…
