Ely Markets

We are Ely Markets, a vibrant, diverse community hub in the heart of Ely city centre.  Our weekly markets include our Saturday Craft, Food & Vintage Market which is joined by Ely Farmers Market twice monthly.  A weekly Sunday Market, and Thursday Charter Market plus extended Mini-Market for essentials on Fridays and artisan coffee for the remaining days of the week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).  We also run a special late afternoon/evening street food market from April to August, with food trucks and entertainment on the last Friday of these months.

During LYLM fortnight we will be celebrating our diverse markets and market traders.  We will be encouraging people to “shop local”, little and often and shop small at our markets rather than the supermarket.  We’ll be holding craft demonstrations, regularly posting social media spotlights on our traders and highlighting Ely Markets as a local small business hub.  The fortnight closes with our May “Foodie Friday” with live music, diverse street food and a place for people to meet and enjoy an evening out in town.

Greenwich Market

We are excited to announce that we will be celebrating Love Your Local Market fortnight in Greenwich Market this year from May 12th to May 27th. This event has been embraced by over 24 countries worldwide and we are thrilled to bring it to our local community.

Our goal is to merge local events, merchandise, and publicity for greater impact, and we hope to create a variety of activities and attractions such as live music, DJs, face painting, and food stalls. We also plan to decorate the Market and entrances with LYLM banners, buntings, and flags to create a festive atmosphere.

We believe that community involvement is key to the success of this event and therefore, we are planning to work closely with stakeholders, traders, and shopkeepers to collaborate on ideas and resources. We welcome any suggestions or contributions that you may have to make this event a memorable one.
